Might be a good place to talk about whats going on with the hall refurb!!!

Next
There is to be a "Spring Scottish Night" ... Usual format, but with Bill Blacks Broadcasting Band (I think) on March the 8th ...more details soon!

We have an agreed constitution, dinni key what happened to the last one ... The refurb moves on at its own pace! We have quites to fix the roof and some draft plans for the refurb ... Should be able to get them on here when they are agreed at the public meeting.

The hall was at capacity... and everyone had a good time ... The music was by Face to Face.. there Grrreat!

New Year Dance ... December 31st until whanever it finishes ... Music By face to face ... bar and all the usual trimmings ... door fee TBA ... watch out here for more updates

door fee is to be applied ... well we have to raise some money for the upkeep and refurb of the hall

All little horrors (under 18s) must be accompanied by an adult!

Children up to the age of 17 go free, adults pay a fiver!

This event is a fund raiser for the refurb!

The village hall once had a flowering cherry, what a display it put on this year.

That was not enough to save it from the chainsaws.

The tree had a broken limb, all agreed it was dangerous and had to be removed. The top interfered with the BT wires, these too were hacked.

A week later the whole tree was felled "aye it was rotten" ... but could you really tell before you felled it? What was wrong with the rhododendron, that it had to suffer a similar fate?

The tree was gifted to the village and has to be replaced, maybe once the renovations have been completed ... after all we dont want a hall that looks as clinical as Balbeggie.

3rd May 2008 Comedy club in the hall for the School funds ... tickets from the usual touts soon!!

What a great night on the 29th of February 2008, the hall looked great with its christmas lights strung across the ceiling ... was this wee bit of atmosphere creation what prompted a proposal from one guest to another ... we will never know.
The band "Bill Blacks Broadcasting Band" were fantastic, the dance floor was busy from the start of the evening to the very end!

The next event in the hall is a Comedy Club on the 3rd of May ... this is an annual event for the school funds ... tickets from the usual sources!

Summer BBQ and dance will be in June ... if it is half as good as Friday its going to be a belter!

The hall refit refurb rebuild is moving on, next meeting to set up a sub committee to drive this!
